Common problems and fixes
File order is wrong after merging

A password-protected PDF will not merge
Remove the password first. Open the PDF in your reader, go to security settings, remove the password, save, then upload.
Merged file is very large
Merging does not compress. Use a PDF compressor after merging to reduce the final size.
Pages look different after merging
